The College Autism Network (CAN) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing access, experiences, and outcomes for students on the autism spectrum in higher education. It connects self-advocates, families, employers, educators, and researchers to drive advocacy, research, and training initiatives—offering free, open-access resources. CAN supports academic achievement and well-being through professional development, events like the annual College Autism Summit, and collaborative research (PEACES) to inform campus practices. Rooted in principles of holistic integration and collaborative inclusion, CAN promotes structural and cultural change, amplifies autistic voices, and treats autism as a distinctive identity rather than a deficit.
